A little intro I suppose is in order. This will be my blog for my new chopper. This is my second chopper build. At this point I have a roller, with the incorrect wheels on it. I bought the roller on ebay. It has a custom made frame, came with custom springers (I am thinking about selling these), and custom handlebars. I bought a ultima solo seat and bolted that on. I have found it is WAY cheaper to buy a roller or a complete chopper then modify it to suit your taste. At this point I probably had double the money in my first chopper, so there is significant savings going this way.

I have my rear tire on order. It's a 200/55R17. It should look good. I also got my new springer and have it on the bike. It's amazing how easy it went on. I am used to finagling with parts to try to get them to work. The neck was set up for a harley front end, so the springers just basically put themselves on. I have to make an adapter plate to get my handlebars to work. Also I have to adapt the ends of them down to 1" so I can get some type of controls on them. They are 1 1/4" or 1 1/2" now.

What I still need:

  • Chain
  • Engine
  • Reg-rectifier combo unit.
  • Forwards
  • Rear fender
  • Petcock
  • Misc connections
  • Turn signal box (so led's work and also it's like a trailer switch where 2 lights work as signals and brakes)
  • Wiring
  • Another tail light/turn signal
  • Front Signals
  • Either Sprotor setup, or stock harley brake and sprocket (depending on clearance issues)
  • Welding rear motor mount tabs on and misc stuff welded on
  • New kickstand (maybe)
  • Oil tank (something aluminum probably, possibly a vertical unit)
  • Probably other Misc stuff I can't remember!
